Welcome to the TGJ 3MI Audio Production Project Page!

CLICK HERE TO VIEW THE AUDIO ASSIGNMENT (PDF).

WHAT YOU'RE GOING TO DO:

  • During this 4-period unit, you will produce an original soundtrack for a prescribed video clip ("THE BULLET MOVIE").
  • You will use Adobe Audition 2.0 to produce the soundtrack.  You can use supplied sound effects or create your own (recorded).
  • Create folders on the "D" drive for your project.  Refer to the assignment handout for details.
  • The soundtrack will include event sound effects (ex. gunshots, explosions) and ambient sounds (background or room noise).
  • YOU MUST KEEP A JOURNAL OF SOUND EFFECTS AND EDITING WHILE WORKING ON THE PROJECT!  THIS JOURNAL WILL BE HANDED IN AT THE END OF THE UNIT ALONG WITH YOUR FINAL PROJECT!
  • You will edit sound clips and apply effects as necessary to produce a professional-sounding, realistic soundtrack for this video.
  • You will export the project to Adobe Premiere.  In Premiere, you will create title screens, etc. for the final project and export your final project as an FLV (Flash Video) file (completed in Adobe Media Encoder).  This file will be used on your website.
  • NOTE - take screenshots of your work in Audition while working so you can use these images on your portfolio website summative.

HOW YOU'LL DO IT:

  • Refer to the Adobe Audition Help Menu to assist with basic editing functions, etc.
  • Your instructor will provide an introductory lesson to Audition in class.
  • You will use the 4 days to work on your project.

WHAT YOU'LL HAND IN (TO YOUR CLASS HAND-IN FOLDER):

  • Adobe Audition project folders
  • Final FLV video file
  • Audio Editing Journals

Good luck and have fun!
